Karl Doyle of Greenborne Developments is seeking permission in principle for a small, major housing-led development of 9 new dwellings in Orpington, Bromley.
Plans include the demolition of Tintagel House, a two-storey, 3-bedroom residential property located on Cornwall Drive. Located in a quiet residential cul-de-sac, Tintagel House sits on 0.17 acres of land, features a large garden, and a triple garage. It was last sold in October 2019 for £650,000.

With excellent bus links, Sidcup station a short drive away, and easy access to the A20, Cornwall Drive is an ideal location for a new development, providing much-needed housing stock to Bromley Borough.
To the immediate east of the site is the River Cray lake and a parcel of land that was once used as a dump. With ownership of the dump transferred to Bromley Council, the site was cleared in 2017 to the delight of local residents, with property prices rising as a result.

The demolition of the existing residential building and garages, and the development of 9-unit residential houses of varying archetypes for private sale, affordable rent, and intermediate tenure. The remainder of the site will incorporate public access, parking and green areas.
This proposal includes lands designated as Green Belt, Metropolitan Open Land (MOL) and other public open spaces. These lands receive strong protection against development, and presence could be a cause for Bromley Planning’s rejection of the application. Part of the Tintagel site being considered for development is at the edge of the Green belt
